Tango for Beginners and Intermediate Dancers
Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm PST
Location: UCSD RIMAC Recreation Center
Technique for Beginners: Class# 300495
Learn the basic techniques of this exotic but accessible dance in order to feel comfortable at the many local venues before the end of the quarter. The 1 and ½ hour classes focus on technique, movement, embrace and connection for social dancing.

Community members and students are invited to learn Tango at UCSD's RIMAC Recreational Center. No partner required!

Intermediate Improvisation Technique
Time: 7:30pm - 9:00pm PST
Location: UCSD RIMAC Recreation Center
Technique for Intermediate Improvisation: Class# 120495
Learn proper technique to improvise with more intricate dance vocabulary and feel comfortable dancing with anyone before the end of the quarter. Topics include variations on ganchos, boleos, molinete, lansamientos, giros, leans, sacadas, levantamientos and vueltas using improvisation and marcas. For dancers familiar with suspension, pivots and lead/following or who have taken the Basic Technique class or 1/2 day Intensive Course. Learn to improvise and dance with confidence!
